Sign in to ORCA with your Google account

Before you start

• A Google work account (Google Workspace). Signing in with Microsoft 365 works the same way.
• Your phone or authenticator to hand, for Google's 2-step verification.

Step by step

   Choose Continue with Google

   On the ORCA sign-in screen at portal.orcaopti.ai, click Continue with Google.

   Enter your Google email

   This screen is Google's, not ORCA. Enter the Google email you use for work to continue to ORCA Opti.

   Enter your Google password

   Still on Google's screen, enter your Google password. ORCA never sees it.

   Complete Google's 2-step verification

   Google runs its own 2-step verification: approve the prompt on your phone or enter a code. This is Google confirming it's really you, not an ORCA step, and it is what stops anyone else signing in as you. You usually only do this once per device.

   You land in your Safe Zone

   You arrive in Ask Opti. Your session runs inside your Safe Zone, processed in Australia, and AI Guardian checks every prompt before it reaches any AI model.

   Ask your first question

   Type a question into the Ask Opti bar in plain language, like "What does the Privacy Act mean for storing patient information?"

Troubleshooting

Google is asking me to verify with my phone and I think ORCA is doing it.

That verification is Google's, not ORCA. It is Google confirming it's really you. Approve the prompt or enter the code, and it usually only happens once per device.

I don't have my phone for the 2-step verification.

Use another method you set up with Google, such as a backup code or an authenticator app. If you are stuck, your Google Workspace administrator can help with account recovery.

My Google sign-in won't continue past the email step.

Check you are using your work Google email, not a personal one, and that your organisation allows Google sign-in. Your Google Workspace administrator may need to approve access.

It says my account can't access ORCA.

Your organisation may not have enabled ORCA for your account yet. Ask your ORCA administrator to invite you, then sign in again.

Is the 2-step verification an ORCA step?

No. It is run by Google (or Microsoft), not ORCA. It is your provider making sure it's really you, which is what keeps your account yours. You usually only do it once per device.

Can ORCA see my Google password?

No. You enter your password on Google's own screen. ORCA never sees it: Google confirms it's you, then lets you in.

Where does my information go once I'm signed in?

Your prompts are processed inside your Safe Zone, hosted in Australia, and AI Guardian checks every prompt before it reaches any AI model. Your data is not used to train third-party models.

Can I sign in with Microsoft instead of Google?

Yes. Choose Continue with Microsoft work or school account on the sign-in screen. The steps are the same, with Microsoft's verification instead of Google's.
